Tomorrow is September, a month that prepare for, plan for, look forward to and struggle with. Bobby's birthday always brings so many emotions. Having his day be a recognized day not only in Oregon but across the Country is something I'm proud of, if you know my story you know in the beginning I just didn't ever want him to be forgotten. We will be celebrating him throughout the month, sharing his story, walking in the Out of the Darkness Walk, participating in Run for Recovery to support others who struggle, and talking to those about what they would do with their time and money if they were to not gamble for a day. Please drop your thoughts here. Let me know if you have any questions or I can help in any way.
If you talk to your child about alcohol, drugs, sex, tobacco, please don't leave gambling out of the conversation. It is just as important, and can be just as devastating.Don't let gambling be the thing you WISH you had talked to your kids about more.
